10,000 Reasons

Alright my friends,

Next entry into the Resonate song roster is 10,000 Reasons by Matt Redman

Check it out below.

There’s something about a simple song that is just purely about worshiping God in all of His Glory. I think this type of song really connects with, well, our souls just like the song depicts. Our souls constantly cry outward. Our hearts want more then what we have seen or heard here on earth. We desire something eternal. We desire to be fulfilled in total and perfect completion. We are desperate for a love that is never unending. And whats awesome is we are MADE to receive such Glory!! Such perfection!! And one day we will shall receive it in full for those who in Christ Jesus.  This song, I believe, captures the essence and simplicity of our life’s purpose. And isn’t that another thing we want… a purpose… but I digress. My prayer for you all is that you cast aside any wants, any doubts, and lift Him up above all, above all the mess, all the hurt, all the pain, all the worry. Be FREE my friends and worship His Holy name.

Can’t wait to sing it with you all this Sunday!

Be Blessed my brothers and sisters.

Saviour Of The World

Hello again!

Next up on the docket is a song we did a couple of weeks ago, Saviour of the World by Ben Canteleon! (I know saviour is spelled weird, but hey, its english like Ben Canteleon)

Check it out! 😛

Every now and then, I believe we, as a church, need a song that boasts of the EPICNESS of Jesus. A song that really captures the awesomeness and greatness of what Jesus accomplished with his life, death, and resurrection. I mean that line alone is epic. Think about it! No really, sit down somewhere quiet, and meditate on this…

Jesus, Son of God, the only hope for a fallen people, came to a destitute waste land full of darkness and ignorance. He knowingly placed Himself somewhere surrounded by darkness. The only light, the only hero worthy of taking on this threat of death and sin that was enveloping a people that were once His. He is a man on a mission fighting for a love that turned away from Him. A warrior poet, a tender and tough brawler, coming to break the mold with His bare hands and soul refreshing words. Every step, every turn, He faced opposition yet He remained faithful and strong even when all seemed lost. In the void, He proclaimed that the time has come for redemption, grace, mercy, and perfect love for all who believe. This proclamation resulted in the very people He went to save condemning him to death!! And at the very end, He had the guts and heart to say, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” WHAT!! What love is this?! What strong compassion bold epic Love is this?! To the ends of heaven and earth went after you and now He sits a Ruler of the Heavens, a King of grace, Jesus the Messiah. In spite of all we have done to Him, This mighty King STILL makes himself available to you!! EPIC.

Kinda makes you feel like you are worth something. Huh?

Before, we were ignorant, we were clueless, we were hopeless, we were loveless. Now, we are quite the opposite in Christ Jesus.

I think Its good to look back at our lives and all we see is the cross. Don’t you think? Thats what this song means to me. And I hope that it helps awaken in you, a deeper love and a respect for Jesus making the impossible possible.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”Luke19:10

“…the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”Matthew20:28

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”John3:16

Be Blessed my brothers and sisters.

And don’t forget to post your thoughts!

Would love to hear from you! 🙂

God With Us

The first song up on this glorious blog is With Us by Hillsong Live.

Here’s a video for you listening pleasure. 🙂

“God with us” has been a phrase that I have been dwelling on lately. Something I like to do from season to season. (Dwell on phrases that is.) This phrase really does a great job of opening my sleepy filled eyes. Mostly due to the fact that the busy ebb and flow of every day life does a exceptional job at distracting us from the truth. That the Lord, maker of heaven and earth, is WITH US! In every step, in every breath He walks with us! He listens to us! He cares deeply about every detail, every choice, every moment. His attention to detail is beyond anything we can comprehend. Kinda puts to whole O.C.D. thing to shame. In the presence of such an awesome wonder how should we respond? Well… I will let you answer that. In the meantime, thank God that He Sent His Son to make Himself available to us in the most minuscule way by accomplishing the most un-minuscule task; dying for us then returning to us with all Glory at His hand.

“…I am with you always, to the end of the age”Matthew 28:20

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
